This is a How-To video I created in After Effects. My mission for this video was to make a relatable, mildly tongue-in-cheek ad about something a lot of people seem to struggle with, myself included. A driving motivation behind the concept for this ad is to draw the viewer in with something genuinely entertaining, with the advertising aspect being secondary. My thought is that if you're trying to sell me something, you'd better make me laugh, at least.
I wrote all the copy for this video. I sourced stock illustrations and public domain photography, which I edited in Photoshop. The background and most of the typography were created in Illustrator. (The rest of the type was executed in After Effects. I used royalty-free music and sound effects to design the sound, which I edited using Audacity and After Effects.
